The Millennium Gospel Choir is, at its core, a community choir that represents a cross-section of great Boston’s best gospel singers, musicians, and music leaders/directors. The brainchild of Calvin Hicks, in conjunction with Donnell Patterson and the (late) Patricia Dance, the choir debuted in the year 2000 at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall with renowned gospel artist Dr. Richard Smallwood. This 2019 consortium of singers and musicians is extremely pleased and proud to have been invited by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston to once again perform and share one of America’s indigenous music genres, African-American Gospel Music.
